Wasteland dress code: the door is part of the party

Wasteland puts it officially: the door is actually the place where the playing begins. Europe's biggest fetish fantasy party takes its dress code seriously, and the rules are refreshingly well documented.

The official rule of thumb

Wasteland's own words: if your outfit could be worn to another party without being stared at, chances are it doesn't meet the dress code. Officially accepted styles: fetish glamour, body art, fetish animal, burlesque, cross-dress, medical, goth, steampunk, baroque, uniforms, leather, metal, plastic, latex, PVC. When in doubt, a plain black rubber or leather outfit is officially sufficient.

Banned and checked

Casual streetwear and combat army uniforms are explicitly banned. The door here is officially called the doorbitch, her decision is final, and she may physically check your clothing. No refunds if you're rejected. Two official ways out: the shop at the entrance sells compliant outfits, and completely undressing gets you in too.

Practical

Minimum age 21. There's a locker room for changing, but no private cabins. Photography is absolutely prohibited, only badge-wearing staff may document. Solo guests are officially welcome as long as dress code and etiquette are respected: touching anyone without permission is strictly forbidden, and consent is key is written into the rules verbatim.
